After many successful years as the General Sales Manager of a large local real estate company, Jeff Scott decided to start his own company.  The doors to the current Marketplace Shopping Center location opened in late 2002 and the team has been helping people from there ever since.

Jeff's goal was to have a company where everyone worked together to better serve each client. This business environment focuses on the needs of the consumer while fully utilizing the different skills of each real estate professional.  It allows the agents to focus on their strengths and obtain an exceptionally high skill level while enjoying what they do best.

Jeff has been helping people buy and sell Outer Banks real estate since 1989. He has participated in or managed agents who participated in almost three quarters of a billion dollars in real estate sales. He holds five professional real estate desgnations and served as President of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors. Jeff received the prestigious Realtor of the Year Award in 2001 and 2002 for the Outer Banks Association of Realtors. He is the only person in the history of this Association to receive this award two consecutive years. Jeff is also the author of Living the Dream. A comprehensive guide to buying, owning and selling Outer Banks real estate.

Jeff graduated from Gordon College and the Harvard University Extension School in Cambridge, Massachusetts before moving to the Outer Banks in 1989. He also has been involved in the Outer Banks community by serving as Chairman of the Administrative Council and Lay Leader of Duck United Methodist Church, as a member of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Realtors and the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce.

Besides selling real estate Jeff currently serves on the Outer Banks Association of Realtors' Multiple Listing Service Committee, the Board of Directors of the North East North Carolina Region Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Treasurer of the OBX Storm Soccer Club and an assistant coach for the 1998 OBX Storm Boys Soccer Team.

Karen has been involved in the real estate sales industry since 1990. She worked as a real estate personal assistant in Newport News until 1997 when she moved to the Outer Banks. Prior to joining Scott Team Realty, Karen was the Administrator for one of the largest real estate companies on the Outer Banks. Karen's attention to detail and expertise in the transaction process allows her to provide top notch service to Scott Team Realty's clients. Her specialty is the marketing of Scott Team Realty's listings and helping buyers and sellers get through the details of the transaction after they have a contract on their property. Karen is also a real problem solver. Her knowledge of the business and desire to help clients make her a real asset to Scott Team Realty.

Lori-Jo serves as the company book keeper, she helps with clerical duties and office administrator. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gordon College and earned her North Carolina real estate license in 2002. Her past business experience includes five years as a Customer Service Representative at RBC Centura and Secretary for the Duck Methodist Church in Duck NC.
