Jeff has been helping people buy and sell Outer Banks real estate since
1989. He has participated in or managed agents who participated in almost
three quarters of a billion dollars in real estate sales. He holds five
professional real estate designations and served as President of the Outer
Banks Association of Realtors. Jeff received the prestigious Realtor of the
Year Award in 2001 and 2002 for the Outer Banks Association of Realtors. The
only person in the history of this Association to receive this award two
consecutive years. He is also the author of Living the Dream. A
comprehensive guide to buying, owning and selling Outer Banks real estate.
Jeff graduated from Gordon College and the Harvard University Extension
School in Cambridge, Massachusetts before moving to the Outer Banks in 1989.
He also has been involved in the Outer Banks community by serving as
Chairman of the Administrative Council and Lay Leader of Duck United
Methodist Church, as a member of the Board of Directors for the North
Carolina Association of Realtors and the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce.
Jeff also enjoys coaching his son's little league soccer teams in the Dare
County Parks and Recreation League.
Karen has been
involved in the real estate sales industry since 1990. She worked as a real
estate personal assistant in Newport News until 1997 when she moved to the
Outer Banks. Prior to joining Scott Team Realty, Karen was the Administrator
for one of the largest real estate companies on the Outer Banks. Karen's
attention to detail and expertise in the transaction process allows her to
provide top notch service to Scott Team Realty's clients.
Jeff's wife Lori-Jo has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gordon College and
earned her North Carolina real estate license in 2002. Her past business
experience includes five years as a Customer Service Representative at RBC
Centura and Secretary for the Duck Methodist Church in Duck NC. She has
spent the last four years raising the Scotts' two sons Drew and Tommy.

Ellen was born and raised in Kentucky and received her bachelor’s degree
from the University of Kentucky. After visiting the OuterBanks for the
first time in 1985, she fell in love with the uniqueness of the area. In
the summer of 1989, she and her family came to the Outer Banksto “spend the
summer”. Apparently, the summer never ended, as she hascontinued to make
her home here. Three of her children are living on theOuter Banks. Her
youngest child is living in Kentucky working in her family’s manufacturing
business.
Since1992, Ellen has worked in real estate sales and has been Associate with
Scott Team Realty since 2005. She has also owned and operated two
businesses on the Outer Banks. She has become familiar with the area and
its people and enjoys helping people find their special place at the beach.
She resides in Southern Shores, and when not selling real estate, she enjoys
spending time with her family, dancing, and traveling to visit friends and
family in other states.

Ken and his wife Melva moved to the Outer Banks in 2000 from Silver Spring,
Maryland where he had a 30 year career in the Defense Intelligence Agency.
He received his real estate license in 2001 and has been an agent with Scott
Team Realty since 2004.
